Off - Festival Bach 2026 is an event held in Montreal, Canada, on November 28, 2026. It is part of Montreal's Festival Bach, and it offers a livelier, more informal side to the city's Baroque music tradition.
What to expect
The Off event is built around the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, whose compositions remain a staple of the classical repertoire. Visitors can hear this music in an intimate and welcoming setting, which suits listeners who prefer a close, relaxed experience to a formal concert hall.
Who it suits
- Lovers of classical and Baroque music who want to hear Bach up close
- Curious travelers looking to add a music event to a trip to Montreal
- Visitors who enjoy the feel of a festival fringe alongside its main program
Because the event is designated as the "Off" part of Festival Bach, it complements the festival's central offering rather than replacing it. If you are planning a visit to Montreal in late November, it is a natural evening to build into your itinerary, and the city itself has plenty to explore before or after the performance.
