Copenhagen-based DJ and producer PAYDAR marks the release of her new EP 'HEYVAN' (Farsi for 'animal') with a party at ALICE. The EP explores instinct, movement, control and connection, drawing on her Iranian heritage and a percussive electronic sound.
The night opens with a live set by Iranian, France-based percussionist Naghib Shanbehzadeh, who blends southern Iranian rhythms with jazz, global roots and experimental music. He has worked with Billy Cobham, Manu Codjia and Kian Soltani, as well as his father Saeid Shanbehzadeh, and has toured with rapper Tif.
Amar Shah, founder of Among Good People, will sell new PAYDAR merchandise alongside pieces from his own brand, AGP.
Doors and show start at 21:00. Tickets are sold through the ALICE ticket page.
