Singer, tenor saxophonist and harmonica player Sam Ghezzi fronts a blues band under his own name, made up of musicians from Amsterdam and Copenhagen. The line-up includes Fabian Vang-Lauridsen on guitar, Cesar Puente on double bass and Joe Korach on drums.
The band revives raw 1960s rock'n'roll and two related blues traditions. Chicago blues is an electric style that was played at parties and on the streets of Chicago in the 1950s. Jump blues is an energetic, swinging style with clear roots in 1940s jazz.
Expect a concert driven by blues rhythm, improvisation and danceable energy.
