This two-hour workshop invites participants to discover the fundamentals of weaving in a hands-on, experimental setting. Attendees will learn how to set up a loom, build a weft, and gradually develop their own textile piece by exploring different threads, textures and colours.
No prior experience is required — the session is designed for complete beginners and everyone works at their own pace. All materials are supplied.
The workshop is led by Sanaa Mejjadi, a visual artist and resident of the Ateliers Tropisme whose practice centres on memory, transmission, displacement and refuge, with textile and weaving as key mediums.
