Harpsichordist Loïc Lapatrie presents a solo recital as part of the Off programme of Festival Bach 2026, taking place at the Off-Festival Bach venue in Montreal on November 29, 2026, at 4:00 pm.
The programme opens with Johann Sebastian Bach's French Suite No. 5 in G major (BWV 816), a seven-movement work encompassing Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Gavotte, Bourrée, Loure, and Gigue.
The middle section is devoted to Louis Couperin's Pièces en fa majeur, a set of six pieces including a Prélude non mesuré, Allemande grave, Courante, Branle de basque, Chaconne, and the celebrated Tombeau de Mr Blancrocher.
The recital closes with Bach's Partita No. 6 in E minor (BWV 830), one of the most demanding of the six partitas, featuring a Toccata, Allemande, Corrente, Air, Sarabande, Tempo di gavotta, and Gigue.
