Le Scriptarium marks its tenth anniversary by inviting young audiences to meet their alter ego. This amplified version of oneself may draw on hybrid characters or fantastic creatures, and it allows a person to say, do or be things they would not dare otherwise.
Director Marie-Ève Milot (Rhinocéros) creates an offbeat world around the anthropomorphic concept of the fursona. To mark the decade, the curator roles go to Benoît Vermeulen and Sylvain Scott, artistic co-directors of Théâtre Le Clou, who are closely tied to the project's history.
The project remains a space for research and experimentation where young authors are encouraged to question their world. The texts written there explore the fractures of reality, the urge to rise up and the desire for transformation.
The event takes place in the Salle Fred-Barry at Théâtre Denise-Pelletier.
