Lettres d'amour is the French-language adaptation of Love Letters, a celebrated Broadway work that was once a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for drama.
Mélissa (Maude Guérin) and Andrew (Christian Vézina) have loved each other since childhood. Their bond is at times funny and at times stormy. They never become a couple, yet they stay closely connected throughout their lives, mainly through the letters they keep writing to each other.
The two actors are accompanied on stage by pianist Yves Léveillé, whose music underscores the story of this unspoken love.
The performance takes place in the Salle Jean-Grimaldi at Théâtre Desjardins.
