Nébulæ is a new show by harpist Valérie Milot that explores art and science through the study of celestial phenomena. The harp serves as a witness to human evolution and our relationship with the universe, from the primitive lyre evoked as a constellation to the sophisticated modern harp.
The programme compares the development of musical instruments with that of tools like modern telescopes, both of which help humanity express itself and probe deeper questions about existence. It ends on a humble view of the universe, where science is seen as poetry and the unknown is accepted.
The concert is intimate, mixing reflections, humour and enchanting music, and is staged in a unique visual environment created by Quebec artisans and artists.
