Australian singer-songwriter Stu Larsen visits Ideal Bar for an intimate evening of warm, guitar-driven folk-pop. His sound is acoustic and direct, built on virtuosic fingerpicking and strong melodies.
Larsen broke through with the album Vagabond (2014), produced by Mike Rosenberg (Passenger). He has played stages across North America, Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and travel remains central to his work.
He is currently preparing the album Solitude, due out on June 19. For it he spent a year travelling to 12 remote places and wrote one new song per month. The result is a collection of honest acoustic songs written in deliberate solitude.
