Embracing the Root is a guest production (gæstespil) combining music and puppet theatre. It runs on the Store Scene at Aveny-T from Saturday 30 January to Thursday 11 February 2027, with performances at 19:30.
The piece invites audiences into an imaginative world where trees, roots and puppets take centre stage in a sensory music-dramatic fantasy about interconnection and community.
The story follows a successful neuroscientist who collapses under the weight of stress mid-way through an ambitious project examining parallels between climate stress and the human brain. The breakdown opens the researcher to new understanding, dismantling the walls of a growing emotional numbness and launching them on a journey that dissolves time and place — deep into a prehistoric forest.
