Genklang is a poetic performance created by Carlsen/Hooge exploring the experience of watching a loved one decline due to dementia. The piece follows two sisters navigating their relationship with their mother as dementia gradually erases her, portraying the care, presence, grief and helplessness that accompany this journey.
Through physical and poetic scenes, the performers draw the audience into a sensory and musical world that illuminates the profound emotional weight carried by those closest to someone living with the condition.
The production runs on the Foyerscenen stage at Aveny-T from 11 to 17 February 2027, with performances starting at 19:30.
