Narcissus is an interdisciplinary production by Meridiano Teatret og Operaen i Midten, drawing on the myth of Narcissus and Oscar Wilde's novel The Picture of Dorian Gray to explore humanity's obsession with perfection and its reflections on identity, beauty and human nature.
The work brings together opera, drama and dance in a single performance, drawing visual inspiration from neoclassical painting — with its idealised bodies and symbolic imagery — and setting this in dialogue with today's culture of digital self-presentation.
Narcissus is the second part of the Trilogy of Evil. It plays on the Store Scene at Aveny-T from 15 to 18 March 2027, with performances at 19:30.
