Portal Pets invite audiences into a gothic world bathed in green light, where lyrical sensitivity collides with raw, angular textures.
The trio — Xenia Xamanek (vocals), Emil Palme (bass/guitar) and Oliver Laumann (drums) — draw on a wide range of influences spanning grunge, folk, metal and alternative rock. Their lyrics move between Spanish and English, set against celestial melodies and haunting soundscapes.
The band made a striking debut in Copenhagen at Den Frie Udstillingsbygning in October 2025. Their live performances have been noted for intensity and strong stage presence, creating a space where vulnerability and community coexist. Critics and fans have described their music as 'vampire rock', 'emo-grunge' and 'a sci-fi sunset'.
