SKYGGEBARNET

SKYGGEBARNET plays at Betty Nansen Teatret in Copenhagen from 11 to 30 January 2027, Monday through Friday at 19:30 and Saturdays at 16:00, with a special Saturday evening performance on 23 January at 20:00.

The play follows Emma, who arrives unannounced at her parents' home armed with the language of therapy and psychological insight, demanding that three decades of suppressed conflict be brought into the open. Around the dinner table, two generations clash over whose version of the past is true — and whether truth itself can be owned.

SKYGGEBARNET is described as a claustrophobic family horror story exploring adult children demanding accountability, parents confronting alien memories of their own home, and the way therapeutic language and diagnosis can function as weapons in interpersonal conflict.

The play marks the debut of Ingeborg Topsøe — creator of the Netflix series RESERVATET — as a playwright. The ensemble cast features Lotte Andersen, Dejan Čukić, Ena Spottag Fog, Søs Egelind, Kimmie Liv Sennova and Hans Christian Lundgren.
