Untz Baby Untz is an interactive dance performance for babies and young children, presented by MYKA in Copenhagen. It brings the pulse of techno into a theatre setting, so that the youngest audience members can meet music and movement on their own terms.
What the show is like
The production draws on the world of club nights: a steady beat, haze, and neon light. Bass and beats are mixed with baby dance, and the performance combines bounce, groove, costume, set design and music to encourage curiosity about colour, shape and movement. It is built to be interactive, inviting little ones to respond rather than simply sit and watch.
The creative team includes choreographer My Grönholdt, set and costume designer Tove Dreiman, and music and sound designer Erik Christoffersen. The dancers are Andrea Deres and Daniel Jeremiah Persson, alternating with Escarleth Romo Pozo and Ray Roa. The work is a co-production between MYKA and Dansstationen.

Who it suits
The show is aimed at babies and small children, so it makes a gentle first trip to the theatre for families with very young children. Because it is short, sits within the morning and early afternoon, and invites movement, it can suit a family outing in a city centre, with the theatre's own location in Copenhagen providing an easy base for the rest of the day.
