MAE play Danish-language pop-rock built around big melodies and singalong choruses. Their sound sits somewhere between eee gee and Peter Sommer, ranging from upbeat pop songs to slowly building rock numbers.
The band grew over four years from Ricki Mae Melchior's bedroom solo project into a five-piece. Reconnecting with the acclaimed producer Mads Björn was decisive in lifting the project and shaping its musical ambitions.
This evening celebrates the release of the debut album 'Månens yndlinge', which came out in September 2026. The album was produced by Mads Björn and contains eight songs written by Ricki Mae Melchior and Anders Vagnkilde Stokkebæk, including the singles 'Jeg troede vi løb' and 'Hvis vi får lov'.
