Pomme comes to Copenhagen with her new album 'la forteresse', her fifth. The record uses the image of a fortress that can both protect and confine, and moves from childhood and love through trauma to the other side of the wall.
Musically the album ranges from sparse piano-and-voice pieces to large orchestral arrangements. It was made across several continents, including a residency at Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, Aaron Dessner's studio in upstate New York and Château de la Haute-Borde in France. Live recordings and the interplay with her musicians shape its organic sound, with acoustic instruments sitting alongside ethereal synths.
Songs such as "seule dans la foule", "trou noir" and "lumière bleue" deal with feeling like an outsider, exhaustion and a future shadowed by the climate crisis, while "mononoke" and "bb mousse" look back to childhood imagination.
The concert is organised by DTD Concerts. Ticket sales opened on Friday 25 September at 10:00 via dtdconcerts.dk.
